Creative Yoga – Beginers

Ages: All Ages (3 to 13)

Level:All levels

Description: Students of all ages are invited to come to class prepared to laugh, breathe, stretch, chill, cooperate, play, communicate and connect with others through our collaborative approach to yoga! These classes follow a creative, non traditional format that incorporates aspects of yoga, creative play and expressive arts. Classes will include things like individual, partner and group yoga, activities playing with balancing props & other yoga toys, breath work, meditation games, creative dance and art. This is fun stuff, come play!

Hip Hop – Beginners

Ages: All Ages (3 to 13)

Level: All Levels

Style: Drop-in (Registration Required)

Description: Hip hop is an energetic form of dance that is unique because it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities. The hip hop culture was originally inspired and influenced by DJ’s, graffiti, rappers and B-boys and B-girls. This inspiration transcends into this upbeat high energy dance where you will learn basic street dance movement. The class will feel relaxed, fun-filled, and the kids will have a chance to learn some funky fresh steps as they get down and boogie to the beat. Learn to lock, slide, step and groove! A great dance form for lil dudes and gals alike!

Movez – Beginners

Ages: All Ages (3 to 13)

Level: All Levels

Style: Drop-in (Registration Required)

Description: Movez is a new and unique program to our local community. This exciting program will establish a revolutionary way to develop physical literacy at any age by bringing the “fun” back into “fundamentals”. This class will use a variety of movement based dynamics that encourage teamwork, leadership, health and well being. It will feature fun filled activities inspired by gymnastics, agility drills, social activities, yoga inspired movement and games. Kids will learn endurance, strength, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination, spacial orientation, social activities, leadership qualities, teamwork and friendship. The goal is to bring awareness back into everyday living and experience an enriched life filled with joy, kindness, love and caring. This dynamic will encourage creative flow through disciplined activities in a fun, safe, energetic, enthusiastic learning environment.

Ballet – Beginners

Ages: All Ages (3 to 13)

Style: Drop-in (Registration Required)

Description: Modern Ballet will explore the fundamental movements of Ballet and learn basic terminology while incorporating modern music, choreography and free dance. Each class will begin with a warm up and end with a cool down.

Jazz – Beginners

Ages: All Ages (3 to 13)

Level: All Levels

Style: Drop-in (Registration Required)

Description: Want to bust a move? This class will be pumping everything from pop music to show tunes with a mix of free movement and classic Jazz moves.

Rest assured that the health and safety of our instructors, staff, clients and friends is our #1 priority.  We've consulted with Interior Health and Worksafe BC to ensure that our space and processes will keep us happy, healthy and well.

All indoor group low intensity exercise may resume.  Any exercise that does not result in significantly increased respiration rates is allowed.  Studio operator and instructors will use best judgement in identifying what should not be practiced and is considered high intensity.

Our offerings are LIVE IN PERSON at the studio.  We are also broadcasting most of our classes online to accommodate our members who are not yet ready to return to the studio in person.

 

General Health & Safety Guidelines:

  • DO NOT ENTER if you have any flu like symptoms
  • Must reserve online in advance for contact tracing measures
  • Sanitize/wash hands upon entering
  • Enter at the back & Exit out the front to alleviate congestion
  • Sanitize all equipment before and after use (leave for Instructors to put away)
  • Blankets and yoga straps go immediately to the wash bin (All mats, foam and cork blocks, bands, balls and other items can be sanitized)
  • Wipe down any surfaces you’ve touched with a sanitization wipe (ie walls, chair, other equipment, bathroom fixtures)
  • Disposable products to ensure cleanliness
  • Frequently touched surfaces sanitized after every class
  • Sanitization stations throughout studio
  • 2 Meter social distancing when not exercising  - 2 M -
  • 2.5 Meter social distancing in studio  - 2.5 M -
  • No congregating in common areas, entrances and exits
  • Wash and sanitize your hands often
  • Use of floor fans discontinued
  • No hands on cues from instructors
  • Masks are required at all times when NOT exercising
  • Health guidelines posted throughout
