Yoga – All Levels (Level 1 & 2)

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style: Drop-in

Description: Hatha Yoga uses postures (Asanas) and stretches in combination with the breath to develop flexibility and relaxation. There are many styles of Hatha Yoga. Some use a specific series of postures, others use a flow of movements, while some may use props such as blocks or belts to assist a posture or maximize a stretch. All styles of Hatha Yoga, however, encourage proper alignment of the body and bring balance, strength and calmness to the practitioner. Our unique Hatha Yoga classes encourages a style that flows and it integrates breath, Asanas and traditional elements to bring balance and strength to the mind, body and spirit.

Yoga – Restorative

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Geared towards those recovering from injury, illness, those with mobility issues and seniors)

Style: Drop-in

Description:This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. The class will use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels, but is geared towards those recovering from injury or illness. Further, this class is done with minimal to no ‘weight bearing’ poses and a variety of modifications are offered to ensure that everyone can enjoy the benefits of the class.

Yoga – Kundalini

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style: Drop-in

Description: This energizing and powerful style of yoga focuses on the core, increasing flexibility, balance and improving overall physical strength. Some of the additional rewards for practicing Kundalini yoga include learning grace and the ability to remain calm through life’s challenges. Kundalini helps to develop new perspectives, capabilities and healthy lifestyle habits. This class uses poses, chanting, dynamic breathing techniques followed by a deep relaxation and meditation. The music is inspirational and it feels like an experience with the Divine. This is truly a unique, magical and spiritual experience. Everyone welcome!

Yoga – Vinyasa Flow

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style: Drop-in

Description: The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Expect this class to include traditional asana (poses) and sequences: sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, backbends and an opportunity to learn/practice inversions. Great class for anyone who is interested in learning more about Traditional Vinyasa Flow. Open to all experience levels (even beginners!) and individual modifications will be available.

Yoga – Yin

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style: Drop-in

Description:Yin yoga is a form of yoga which is performed to stretch the connective tissues of the body. Primary connective tissues include the hips, thighs and lower spinal area. These types of tissues do not stretch the muscles (as in the yang form of yoga which Western culture is more familiar with) but they stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas of the body. This type of Asana practice is beneficial to a wide variety of people. Although yin yoga is not as intense as other yang forms of yoga, its long duration when holding poses can be difficult for some people to maintain. The duration of some posture positions can last several minutes at a time. Yin is said to be great for those people seeking pain treatment and trauma recovery. This class has many benefits but some notable ones include lower stress levels, deeper relaxation and an increase in the flexibility of connective tissues and joints. Come strike a pose…

Yoga – Dancers

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style: Drop-in

Description: Experience magical music synched to stretching. This class will incorporate a flow/power vinyasa style sequences to encourage strength and mobility. Once we create heat through breath and movement we will utilize that warmth and delve into deep stretching and yin style postures. Class will be creative and vary weekly working through different flexibility skills to help dancers improve their time spent on the dance floor. This class is also suitable for anyone who wants to condition, gain strength and increase flexibility. Get ready for the sweet flow or should we say sweat flow!

Pilates

Ages: All Ages

Level: All levels (Suitable for Beginners and Intermediates with the Individual working at their own level)

Style: Drop-in

Description: Pilates on the mat will help to strengthen and lengthen the entire body. This class will also improve flexibility and will help develop control and endurance. It will include deep core work and end range strengthening with an emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. This could very well be the most powerful hour of your entire week!
